I think it’s time for me to start seriously thinking about what I’d like to do with the rest of my life. I do have a dream business that I’ve always wanted to start but I’m not quite sure how to go about it. The business is to have a small, seasonal bed-and-breakfast that doubles as a place for yoga and writing retreats.

Ideally I’d like to have this bed-and-breakfast in a location that would make a great summer home. I’m thinking that somewhere near Lake Louise in Banff Canada would be nice although I’m not sure what all of the regulations are about Americans owning businesses in Canada.

I’d like the bed-and-breakfast to be fairly small but comfortable enough to house all of the people that would come for retreats. Perhaps a lodge with an additional area for camping would work. I haven’t really thought through that part yet.

My hope is that a business like this would allow me to regularly spice up my life. It’s nice to get away for awhile even though I like where I live. This would be a three or four month getaway every year but one that would earn me an income. It’s something I want to think more about this year.
