Working as an Independent Bail Bond Agent
Jan 24, 2009
Though I have been working at my job in the financial services industry for a number of years now, I have been finding it harder and harder to support my family of five. The reality of the matter is that most families need two incomes to survive, and sadly that isn’t an option for us. Ever since my husband had his accident, he has been unable to work and therefore, I have had to pick up the slack.
So, for the past couple of months, I have been looking for ways that I can make some extra money without taking away much of what little time I have to spend with my family. After a lot of searching, I decided to become an independent bail bond agent.
It hasn’t been easy, but after my first issue of bail bonds in Seattle, I felt a lot better with my choice. It was nice to see that I could make the commission I did with less than an hour of work - in fact it was more than I made per hour at my “real” job.
If things continue to go as well as they have, it might be smarter for me to build up my business instead of working at the bank - I guess I’ll just play it by ear and see what happens.
