If you’re like me, you usually leave decorating the artificial Christmas tree to your wife. But over the past few years, my wife has asked me to join in on hanging the battery operated Christmas lights and the Christmas ornaments. With her help, I’ve actually learned a few things trees.
Here are a few tips for choosing the right Christmas tree lights.
- 1. Find the Right Colors- Since it’s Christmas time, you want your tree to have a festive look. This means you need to incorporate red, white, and green bulbs throughout your tree. Of course, this sounds easy enough, but the truth is there are so many different shades of each color that it can be confusing. Different color temperatures create different looks. Spend time doing the research to find the colors that work for you.
- 2. Consider Quality- When you buy Christmas lights, it can be easy to overlook the quality of the lights. Sometimes, the cheapest lights aren’t the best option. They won’t look as good, and they tend to burn out more quickly than a leading brand.
- 3. Be Energy Efficient- Since your Christmas tree will be on for so many hours, you want to choose lights that are energy efficient. Not only will this keep your electric bill down, but it will cut down on energy waste. And I don’t need to tell you how important that is.
