Several months ago when I learned that my position at work was being eliminated I did kind of start to panic. Without feeling too sorry for myself though I got very busy looking for something new. I polished my resume, and started networking as much as I could. I also accepted the fact that I might have to settle for something that paid less.

Well a few months passed, and money started to get tight. I was not too worried about losing my apartment since I don’t exactly own it. But Really, I do kind of need a place to live! It is kind of funny that the thing I was most worried about was my truck. It is close to being paid off, and I have added all kinds of truck parts and accessories to it. I even considered trying to sell the tonneau cover to help cover a payment, but I didn’t.

And just as the savings dwindled down to almost zero, I got a call from my old boss. It seems that the accounts that I had been servicing had rallied together and wanted me back! Unfortunately the pay cut thing was part of this realty, but at least I am employed again. And really, it happened right as I was about to go under.
