Getting Disability Insurance for Physician professionals is so important. There are a lot of different Disability insurance Companies out there that are available to make sure that if a physician is ever injured in such a way that they become disabled then they will be able to get back on their feet, even if not literally, then at least financially. I have seen families who have had to do this and on top of that they did not plan for any kind of backup plan for their financial needs in this event. It has been really sad. Then again, I have seen families who have planned for it, and they are much better off.

Fortunately my uncle was one of those people who did have insurance and it was a good thing he did. He was in an accident a few years ago and completely lost his physical ability to practice medicine like he had for so many years. If he had not had the insurance he had been sure to get for an incident just like this, his family and financial life would be in complete ruins. Thank goodness for his foresight and planning. Being disabled has been a hard adjustment, but not impossible now.
