We’d signed up for a round for airsoft beginners, so it was everybody else’s first or second time as well.  Most people had completely ignored the KWA’s and just picked from the large selection of Echo1 airsoft products.

I’d picked a different KWA gun after they rejected my request for the custom model I had my eye on.  Apparently my disappointment showed because one of the club employees approached me.

“Everything, all right there, buddy?”  He asked.

“Oh yeah, got my guns and everything.”

“Didn’t get the one you wanted, though, did ya?  You got that ‘kid in the toy store with no money’ look on your face”.

I smiled and chuckled.  “No, I had my eye on the custom, but had to settle for one of the standard KWA guns.”

“Oh well, you have a good eye there.  Most of the guys just ignore that corner and pick from the other brands with the wide selections.”

“I’m not really much of a gun enthusiast-don’t get me wrong, I love going to the range, just not really much of a collector or anything, but that thing just looks great.”

“Yeah, I know what you mean.  If you’re just shooting bb’s, you might as well do it with something that looks good.  Tell you what, I can’t do anything for you this time around, but if you come back, ask for me and I’ll see if we can work something out.”

I nodded and thanked him.

“Have a good time out there,” he said.
