Becoming a Leader in our Health District

From the time I was a child in elementary school most people told me that I was leadership material.  I guess it was partially due to the fact that people looked to me for advice and followed me easily.  I had some sort of natural charisma, and I thought that I could use it someday to help others.

In some respects, this natural leadership ability was what directed me to become a leader in our health district.    I took a Master in Health Education Leadership course in college, which gave me the educational credentials that I needed for the role that I am in today.

But it wasn’t just the education that got me the job - there was a lot of networking done on my part as well.  It helped that I had a photographic memory and I could remember names and faces with ease, so I was able to culture and nurture relationships with many influential people in our health district, and most people knew me as well.

As I step up to my new role as director, I am hoping that I can make some lasting changes that will help the people in our district have better access to healthcare and services, with the result being a better standard of life.

I think the best reason to get a Master’s in Health Education Leadership is to help people. One of the best ways to help people is by figuring out ways to cut through all the restrictive rules and paperwork that limit people’s access to healthcare.

For the last three years I’ve been working on an undergrad degree in Health Education Leadership, but this has gotten me thinking about getting my Master’s and all the good I can do.

Health Education Leadership isn’t a field that immediately leaps to anyone’s mind, but it seems like there are going to be a lot of jobs there. Right now, Nursing schools and Medical Colleges are in dire need of instructors and administrators. If you want job security for the future, you should check this field out.

Medicine and medical education are two fields where women can have a chance of getting really good leadership positions. So, I urge any women out there in medical fields to think about getting an advanced degree in Health Education Leadership.

Medical education is a very hot field right now. If you want to make sure you’re employed for the next 3-4 decades, you should look into getting a degree in Health Education Leadership.

I work as a nurse now in a general practice office, but I’m getting fed up with my boss. I think I could do better going back to school and getting a degree like the one this blogger is writing about.

Like the person writing this blog, I’ve always felt like a natural leader, so maybe Health Education Leadership would be a good field for me. I’m going to have to do more research on where to get a degree in this field.

Nursing is a great job, but I’ve been hearing more and more that nursing schools need instructors and pay some serious bucks. This is something I plan to look into.

I’m good at networking, I like teaching, and I work in Health Care, so maybe a degree in Health Education Leadership would be good for me, too. This is a very interesting post.
