Halloween is a great time for expressing yourself – and it’s also a time of year that’s heavy with symbolism, which is why some of the most iconic costumes on offer are based on symbols virtually everyone can understand. Prime examples of this are angel costumes – little girls and grown women opt to dress as angels for Halloween for a number of reasons.
First, the angel is a popular costume because it is easy and can be made from common clothing items you can use again and again – all you need is a simple pair of wings and a fluffy white dress and you’re ready to party. Of course, guys can go out in angel Halloween costumes as well – just pop those angel wings on over a white tux or track suit and you’re good to go.
Another thing that makes angel costumes popular with people is that it is incredibly easy to compliment them with another equally potent symbol – the devil. There’s nothing that says angels and devils can’t get along in the spirit of good fun – and there are plenty of couples costumes out there for people interested in going to costume parties dressed as one of each to prove it.
